Welcome to Coastal Palms Beach Hotel
Coastal Palms Beach Hotel offers a solid mid-range lodging option on Ocean City’s bustling Coastal Highway. With its 3.5-star rating, the hotel strikes a balance between comfort and value, making it an appealing choice for families, couples, and solo travelers looking to enjoy Maryland’s beachside charm without breaking the bank.
Located just a block from the sandy shoreline, the hotel provides effortless access to both relaxation and local attractions like Old Pro Golf and Splash Mountain Water Park. Guests frequently praise the hotel’s convenient parking and ease of beach access, important factors for those keen on maximizing their coastal getaway.
The rooms are clean and equipped with thoughtful amenities such as kitchens and air conditioning, catering well to extended stays or families seeking a home-away-from-home feel. While some decor elements show signs of age, newly renovated bathrooms add a refreshing touch. The no-smoking policy, including balconies, ensures a clean and healthy environment throughout the property.
Staff reception garners positive remarks, highlighting warm and helpful interactions that enhance guest experiences. Front desk team members like Kim and Jennifer are noted for their efficiency and friendly demeanor, helping guests navigate hotel services and local transit options smoothly. Though occasional service hiccups occur, they appear to be exceptions in an otherwise attentive staff culture.
The atmosphere can vary, with busier times bringing a lively youth energy, likely tied to local events such as graduations. However, this liveliness seems situational rather than habitual. The hotel’s outdoor pool, pet-friendly policies, and kid-friendly environment broaden its appeal, especially for families and groups.
Overall, Coastal Palms Beach Hotel projects a welcoming, straightforward charm. It excels in delivering beachside convenience and practical comfort. While not a luxury resort, it embodies value, cleanliness, and accessibility—qualities that resonate deeply with price-conscious travelers seeking easy access to Ocean City’s highlights.

Very nice for the price, clean, parts of the room were a little dated but the bathroom was brand new. Can't judge the atmosphere, there was a lot of teenagers yelling and running all over the place, but I think it's from graduation, it's probably not always like that? Hopefully. The balcony is nice but no smoking there, parking was no problem, you can walk right to the beach. I was pleasantly surprised!
We have stayed here 2 years in a row and have enjoyed it both times. Kim that works the front desk is so pleasant. I've enjoyed seeing her there both times we have gone. You can't beat the price or the location.
Jennifer was very pleasant and had a welcoming demenor. She greeted us as soon as we walked in and she made us feel like a valued guest. She was very efficient handling our check-in. Her knowledge of the hotel services and the amenities was very helpful during our stay. And she answered all our questions. She was very helpful in explaining the bus service to us going to the boardwalk and back and the hours of service it provided.
Rooms were clean and location was perfect. The staff was pleasant and friendly except for one lady- she was miserable and gave me a hard time about asking for a bag of ice. Had to give my name and room number and was told not to ask for anymore because it’s only one bag per day. I didn’t have this issue with any of the other front desk help. My other issues were that the water pressure in the shower was pretty low and there noise from outside. The doors are thin and you could see the light from the outside through the frame- causing any outside noise to sound like it was inside your room. From people talking to the traffic.
Room was nice. Stayed in a suite had a pull out couch bed and a tv in that room and 2 queen beds in the bedroom with a tv. The setup was nice and no noise from anyone else staying there. Shower didn't have the best pressure. No smoking or vaping in the hotel or on the balcony which confused me as why there was no smoking or vaping on the balcony but overall it was a cozy place to rest our heads. The service at the desk was friendly and quick. The location kind of sucked since it's on 120th st but at the same time we knew that when we booked it so I mean even though it was farther away from most stuff in the city it was very close to the beach we also had a restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel called the original crabcake factory which we did not end up eating at but there was a lot of business there so it must have been good. So other than the location being far away from everything no major complaints about this place. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone going with kids or family that want peace and quiet at night because there is little night life this far up which makes it an ideal spot for families.
